Saved from rotting away in a field, this dory was built in South Bristol Maine. Diminutive in length, this 12′ round sided dory very much resembles the shape and size of the Maine Peapod. The class will replicate this boat using a set of plans that were created last summer At the WoodenBoat School. There are no existing plans for this dory and so creating a set from the boat was imperative for preserving this design for future builders. It is rare to see a dory this small and the scale and proportion of this boat makes it handy, attractive, and perhaps the perfect little tender.
This is a hands-on class. You will learn a lot about basic woodworking and boatbuilding over the course of these two weekends.
Class runs 9am-5pm, Fri.-Sun. Lunch is included on site.
This class is located Off-Site, in the Bronx, New York.
