CLINT CHASE is a former high school science teacher who has fused extensive training in cold-molding and wooden boat building at The Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design in Kennebunkport, Maine, with composites training at the Maine Advance Technology Center where he is a certified composites technician. As head boatbuilder at the Compass Project in Portland, Maine, for the past four years, he has run an apprentice program designed for high school juniors and seniors making wooden boats and composite-blade oars. Clint builds beautiful, high-quality oars and boats for customers out of his professional boatshop in Portland, Maine.
