BOB SCHWINGER is a retired corporate general manager and high school industrial arts teacher. Currently, Bob divides his time between working as an industrial consultant, and creating commissioned wood carvings for private individuals. Bob has lived on the water since he was nine years old growing up in the Barnegat Bay area. His interests have always been sailing and woodworking. After graduating from college and serving in the Navy, Bob started working for Ethan Allen Corporation in New England at their various manufacturing plants. He got involved in marine wildlife carving in 1986, and it soon became a passion. These days he sells most of his work through word of mouth and has been teaching carving to his high school students. He has opened his own local studio in Concord, New Hampshire, to continue teaching with room to expand his operation. Teaching and carving now take up most of his days, except when he is spending time with his family.
